Thought I might upload some photos! My mother took these and given the circumstances on the day, it was hard to get any good ones. Some con photos are  here and here. Everyone else was absolutely amazing too.

I laboured to hell on this one. There are about 10 metres of black drill, 4 metres of green chiffon, and 4 tubes of paint in that. The shirt has a front panel with rounded points, and the mantle has two separate pieces, one for the shoulder points. I’m wearing a corset, and the striped dress is a mermaid tail with a train. The sleeves are bell-shaped kimono sleeves, lined with green satin. I didn’t have time to stripe the veil, which was a bit sad, but I did want to get some sleep that night.

It was completely impossible to walk in, especially since it was pouring at the con, with my drapery and face paint and all - but it was worth the effort, I guess, maybe.

The horns did not work out the way I wanted them to - they were too long and heavy, and I had to improvise with a dodgy headband to keep them on, if not well. And I ended up wearing those lace gloves, because the paint came off my hands and onto my costume.

But yes enough ranting. It was a fun weekend, if hellish costume.

Wow, this is my costume from June last year! It’s still my dream to do a photoshoot for this and get maybe some nicer photos. I put so much effort into it!

Some detail shots, again courtesy of my lovely girfriend!

I was Fionna again to Smash, but I decided to do the version of her ballgown that was ripped at the front for a bit of costume recycling. Thanks to my dearest girlfriend Sasha for taking the photos, she was ballgown dreamer Jade and you should check out her photos!

And a few more photos!

And another photoset! We’re hoping to do a photoshoot in a more controlled environment next week, so watch out for that!

Some shots of my costume to SMASH!

I was behind an artist’s table for most of the day, or running around sans my skirt, so I didn’t get much time for posing, however my girlfriend and I ran out for for a little bit to grab some shots!

I know most of you are probably thinking to yourself, wow why on earth did you abuse the exposure, but that’s actually pretty much all the Australian sun. It’s freaking ridiculous.

As you can see, the costume still needs some work, however I’m still pretty happy with how it looked on the day! Hoping to fix it up and finish it off for a shoot on the weekend.
